Psalm 38

1. A poem song written by David to remember. O Self-Existent One, don't nag me about how good You are, or correct me with an outburst of rage or intense anger.
2. - 3. Like arrows, conviction settles deep into my heart and I get totally stressed out as You come near to show me where I have missed Your will for my life.
4. Where I have gone wrong overwhelms me as being stupid, dull and way overdone.
5. - 6. I became fascinated in casting spells but I only hurt myself - for they dwindled and vanished. That foolishness is now offensive to me, yet it depresses me all the time.
7. My stomach has 'shrunk'. My whole body (even my sex drive) is messed up.
8. I feel very sluggish - even to the point of collapsing. I moan because of the snarling, growling and contention going on inside of me.
(Prayer to God)
9. Sovereign Lord, You know what will really satisfy and delight me. You also already know everything about what I have just described.
10. I am shaky, weak, and can't even 'see straight' anymore.
11. My friends and co-workers don't like to be around me anymore and can't understand what is wrong with me. Even my family keeps their distance from me.
12. Those who have wanted to hurt me make up stories and spread gossip all the time.
13. -14. I acted as if I were deaf, not hearing what they were saying; and I have acted dumb, not answering them or arguing with them in an attempt to justify or refute what they said.
15. O Self-Existent One, I hope in You - my Supreme God who pays attention to me.
16. Of others I said, "They will find something to twist up and make fun of me about."
17. For I am ready to fall and I grieve and feel sorry for what I did all the time.
18. I choose to acknowledge my perversity. I am sorry where I offended God.
19. But those who are hostile and hate me are strong and there are lots of them.
20. Those who give evil for good are my enemies. I follow - yes, run after - the good.
21. Don't let go of me, my Creator: Almighty God, don't even go very far from me.
22. Please! hurry and eagerly surround me, My Sovereign ruler, my Rescuer.

Psalm 37

1. Written by David. Don't lose your temper or 'melt down' with passion about those who spoil things or making them good for nothing. Don't get jealous of those who do things to distort reality and truth either.
2. Why? Because they themselves by their choices and actions sooner or later will 'melt down'; be cut off like grass in a yard; wilt and fall away like sickly, dying vegetation.
3. Put your confidence in the Self-Existent One as your power source to do good. This will enable you to permanently live in the land and be taken care of properly by God.
4.As you delight (are soft and pliable) in your relation to the Creator, He will give you what you really want - your heart's true desire.
5. Roll on to (completely give) the Creator the full responsibility for guiding your life. Be confident in Him and He will do what is best - for you and through you.
6. He will reveal how you are right by choosing to accept His covenant, which will also enlighten others about what God's love law is really like and what choosing to be in a love based covenant with Him truly means.
7. Let go of any lies about the Self-Existent One that prevent you from genuinely expressing your love passion for Him - even to the point of whirling around in a dance of excitement in your relationship with Him. Don't get mad or bent out of shape, however, when others prosper by planning and using wrong or deceptive ways to achieve their success.
8. Take a deep breath when you get angry and accept that you have that emotion. But don't lose your temper (get all bent out of shape) and copy the ways of those who spoil and make good for nothing.
9. Those who break up or make things good for nothing will consume (melt down), but those who bind themselves to the Creator will one day occupy this earth, taking the place of those who used to live here.
10. For shortly those who disturb, violate, and be or do wrong will be no more and you will fully understand what happened to them and why they are no longer around.
11. Those who gently and willingly agree with the Creator will live in the earth and delight in the abundant peace provided through God's love covenant with them.
12. Some people plot to disturb the peace of those who are right. They work hard (especially with sharp words) to make them as miserable as possible.
13. But my Sovereign Lord laughs at them for He knows their future.
14. Those who do wrong use all their resources to desolate and destroy. They set traps for the destitute, to try to get them to fall from being right in their life course.
15. Their parching and destructive actions, however, will so affect themselves that their strength will break and burst.
16. The value of few possessions while being right with God far exceeds the stress and unhappiness experienced by those who violate and abuse others.
17. The destructive force of abusers will loses power sooner or later; but the Creator holds on to those who choose His right will.
18. God knows what is happening even now to those who agree with Him, and His plans include an awesome inheritance for them that will last forever.
19. With God's inheritance waiting for them, God's family won't get discouraged when times get 'bad'. Even when food gets in short supply God takes care of them.
20. But abusers will sooner or later lose - like burning fat they will go up in smoke.
21. Those who borrow but don't return are wrong, but God's family shares resources.
22. God's inheritance for His family includes living on this earth. Ignoring God's covenant by choosing another will or way will result in nothing - not even a life.
23. God has plans for His family and they are happy to please God in their life.
24. Even though they may make mistakes, God doesn't cast them out. Instead He holds them up and continues to guide them with His power.
25. From my youth until now I have not seen those who do right and are cleansed by God let go of by Him. Neither have I seen their children begging for food.
26. God's family members prosper by always being kind and staying united.
27. So don't try to spoil others, but rather be pleasant and joyful to keep really living.
28. God's law is love and He doesn't stop protecting those who love Him. But even the families of those who break their covenant with God will consume away.
29. Those who are right with God will permanently occupy the earth and live in places where previous dwellers had been.
30 - 31. Those right with God think and speak wisely, and because God's law of love is in their hearts even their actions are not wrong.
32. But those who are in the wrong intently search for some way to bring God's family members under the power of their incantations or witchcraft spells.
33. The Creator will not give the control of His family to those who are wrong. He will not accept condemnations against those who have chosen to belong to Him.
34. Bind yourself to Your Creator, and by His power in you live the way He chooses for you. He will raise you up and give you an inheritance in the earth. You will see this happen after those who broke His covenant with them are no longer.
35 - 36. I've watched abusers harass and demolish others to supposedly prosper, yet then they disappeared and when I enquired about them later they couldn't be found.
37. Watch those who have accepted God's will and you will see peace in action.
38. But those who break away from God's covenant with them will end in nothing.
39. Those who covenant with the Creator God receive His strength, even in trouble.
40. The Self-Existent One surrounds His family. He will slip them away from their abusers, set them free and keep them safe because they flee to Him for protection.

Psalm 36

1. Written for the permanent music collection by David as service to God.
(Observations of those not in agreement with God)
1 - 2. The actions of those who are revolting against the Creator's just authority shows they have no real reverent submission to God in them. They think they are doing just fine by themselves - until finally their crooked ways get to look disgusting even to them.
3. The idols and 'stars' - whom they revere as 'great' - they talk constantly about and the 'lies' they believe shows they lack real intelligence or the ability to be truly successful.
4. They spend time and effort, involving intense passion, to honor and revere their stars and idols even though it ruins their lives and makes them good for nothing.
(Contrast with the Creator God and His family)
5 - 6. Creator God, You live in heaven with your loyal subjects. You are kind, just, right, trustworthy and true - which is how you govern the whole universe - and are as strong as mountains. When you make a decision it stands. And God, You are the only One who gives life to human beings as well as all other living creatures.
7. Wow! That You, Supreme God, are kind and courteous to humans is awesome. This is why human beings confide in you and trust You to defend and protect them.
8. They will be completely satisfied with the abundance of being Your family. You will refresh them with living water and they will be delighted with your luxuries.
9. You are the source of refreshing life. In your happiness we experience real joy.
10. Continue treating those who have chosen to experience belonging to your loyal family with Your kindness, courtesy, rightness and justice.
11. Please don't let those who choose their own way cause me to change my mind from belonging to You.
(A glance back)
12. Those who do other than God's will fall down and won't be able to get up any more.

Psalm 35

1. By David.
(his requests to God)
My Creator, in your intense power come near to those who 'feed' on me (in their attempt to consume me); toss those who are against me.
2. Fasten me to You; defend and guard me. Rise up and surround me to protect me.
3. Pour out Your power, stopping those who oppose me. Remind me: "I set you free."
4. Let those chasing after me get so emotionally wounded that they are entirely confused even as they fabricate plots to spoil me, thus making me worthless and good for nothing.
5 - 6. Let the wind of Your messenger running and chasing after them press upon them even while the course of life they have chosen is making them miserable and lonely.
(Expressing his feelings)
7. For no good reason they have secretly tried to ruin me and even to destroy my life.
8. Let the very destruction they planned for me come upon them by surprise.
9. I will dance for joy as I praise the Creator for setting me free and making me safe.
10. Every part of me will say "Lord, who else but You snatches those who accept Your will away from those who are violently bold? You alone rescue those who choose to belong to You from those who would rob them of everything - even their life."
11. People falsely testified that I did things I don't even know anything about.
12. They treated me bad to try to make me suffer even though I treated them good.
13 - 14. But when they got sick or had problems I felt sorry for them as if they were a brother, or a good friend. I prayed to God for them - at times just quietly in my heart, while at other times as intensely as though I were mourning for my own mother.
15 -16. But when I stumbled or fell, however, they feasted, and together with other mean, hypocritical mockers gossiped about my faults, even painting their faces to ridicule me all the time, and all this was going on without my knowledge.
(Petition to God concerning his situation)
17. Sovereign God - You who are in full control - how long will You just watch? Rescue me, as well as my loved ones, from destruction by those people acting like wild lions!
(Faith based response)
18. With many others I hold out my hands to You in reverent worship, praising you by sharing what You are really like and relating what great things You have done.
(Reviewing perceptions)
19. Don't let those who hate me wrongfully get satisfaction or profit because of me.
20 - 21. They're not trying to make peace. They arrange deceptive situations to make it look like they know things they don't really know, then they falsely testify that they have evidence against me - simply to disrupt peace.
(Prayer)
22 - 23. You, O Self-Existent One, have seen what has been going on. Please don't leave me alone. Always stay close enough to hear me. And even more, my Supreme Sovereign, do something to vindicate and defend.
24. Govern me, O Supreme Creator according to your right way.
24-25. Don't let those who would destroy me gloat over me - even in their hearts - thinking, "Aha, he is destroyed just as we wanted it to happen to him".
26. Let anyone become pale and confused who gets excited when I hurt. Wrap them up as discarded idols in disgrace who put themselves over me.
27. Let those who agree with my choice to belong to God be joyful. With shouting declare: "Let the Creator who made a love covenant with His servants be magnified."
28. I will keep pondering God's rightness and equity. I will praise You, Creator, all day long.

10. Whole towns become destitute and hungry, but those who follow the Creator and worship Him will not fail of receiving what He sees is best for them.
11. Come families, attentively listen to me as I diligently guide and mentor you how to properly and reverently submit to the Creator's will.
12. Do you want to live a really exciting life as well as live that way a long time?
13. First, be very careful that what you say is not deceitful, a lie or hurtful.
14. Second, stop doing anything bad and make sure all you do counts for good.
Third, Really strive to be peaceful, happy and friendly with others.
15. God is carefully watching those who have accepted His making them right and He attentively listens whenever they ask for help in any situation.
16. God doesn't watch with the same care those who choose to be contrary to His will. Even those who lived on earth with them will forget about them.
17. When those who agree with God let Him know their problems He intelligently listens and then takes them away from both their difficulties and their rivals.
18. The Lord approaches a spiritually born person, giveingthem His life.
19 - 20. Our Divine Example was afflicted in every way possible, but His Heavenly Father rescued Him, guarding and protecting Him so that He was not destroyed.
21. Spoiling God's plans by considering them as 'good for nothing' leads to death. Those who hate God's family (those who accepted His will for them) will also die.
22. The Creator preserves His family. Not one who confides in Him will perish.

Psalm 33

(Worship)
1. Shout for joy - all who agree with the Creator - in honor to Him.
2. It is appropriate for those made right by God to celebrate with hymns and other suitable music as they extend their open hands upward to Him and accompanied by instruments such as the piano, guitar, cello, violins (and other string type instruments) blended together in beautiful harmony.
3. Sing daily to Him. Learn new arrangements of songs recounting God's words and actions. Even include other instruments - like trumpets and such.
4. God arranges right ways; His actions build up and encourage trust in Him.
(Reasons)
5. The Creator's right and virtuous emotions, as revealed in His divine law, are deep and intense. This earth is full of His beauty, kindness and courtesy.
6. By the choice of the Creator the whole universe - including this earth - were created by His life-giving power flowing out from Him.

(Response)
8 - 9. Let everyone show awe to the Creator by respecting Him and having affection for Him as His family, since He brought everything into existence.
(Choices)
10. The Creator makes of none effect the plans and resolutions of those who turn their back to Him. He neutralizes their lies and plots against Him.

17. Always being busy or working super fast won't necessarily produce true satisfaction even with good organization and sufficient help to carry out the plans.

Psalm 32

1. A teaching song/poem written by David. Happiness and right! Quarrels, revolt, and apostasy lifted; misses filled up and offenses covered.
2. Happy the person who the Creator doesn't demand 'pay' for crooked, evil actions and when one's own attitude is not treacherous or deceptive.
3 - 4. When I ignored or fabricated excuses for my wrong attitudes and/or actions, my body wore out and became weak from guilt I carried all the time. Day and night Your Spirit worked so intensely on me that my vigor dried up like dry, cracked ground in a summer drought. (pause)
5. I finally saw how I missed Your will for me, and how crooked my ways were and I quit hiding. I said, "I let go of my revolt against the Creator." You lifted the guilt of my crooked ways where I had missed Your will for me. (pause.)
6. This is what those who love God pray for while He is still available - for oftentimes when people have great problems they get so discouraged they no longer reach out to come near to God for themselves.
7. You, my hiding place and cover, will guard me from being crowded by opponents and surround me with exuberant shouts of joy while delivering me, as You say to me: (pause)
8. "I will give you intelligent answers, pointing out My course of life for you to walk. I will guide and advise you with My eye.
9. Don't keep running around but don't become a hermit either. Those kinds of people have to be restrained or else they hurt others."
10. Those who do not accept God's plans for them multiply their grief, anguish and pain, but those who run for refuge, with confidence, to the Self-Existent One will be surrounded with kindness and beauty.
11. All you who agree with God be glad, spin around and shout for joy with all your heart, mind and soul - everything you have.

Psalm 31

1-2. Written by David for the permanent music collection. My Creator, I flee to You for protection; don't disappoint me. Listen carefully to me because of how good You really are and then quickly snatch me away, enabling me to escape. Be my fortified, enclosed refuge and stay close beside me to keep me - your family - safe.
3. Because of who You really are - Your authority, and staying right with me as my fortress - guide, sustain and protect me.
4. As my Defense, drive away all who have secretly controlled me, and set me free from them.
5. I give You complete control of my life, for You, Almighty, all powerful God, have saved and preserved me.
6. I hate those who dwell upon what is fictional, useless, evil and leads astray from You, but I am sure that the Creator God takes care of me.
7 - 8. I will dance with intense joy because of how kind You have been to me. You saw how depressed I was and how tightly others crowded me, but You didn't let those who have been so hostile toward me have control of my life. Instead You stood me up and enabled me to view life from the much broader perspective of Your freedom.
9. Stoop in kindness to me, O Lord, especially in my cramped, distressing situation. I have cried so much over what has been troubling me that my eyes feel dry, my stomach hurts and even my bones ache.
10. My whole life seems to be about over because of this intense stress - my vitality and energy are gone; even my bones have shrunk due to this stress.
11. Even those who didn't like me were embarrassed about me but particularly those who lived around me were afraid of what I might do and didn't want to be around me.
12. People have forgotten me as though I were someone who was already dead - like a broken dish that has been thrown away and forgotten.
13. I heard many evil reports coming from numerous sources, while at the same time plans were even being laid to kill me.
14 - 15. I responded by running to the Lord for refuge. I said to Him: You are my God. You are in charge of my life. Snatch me away from those who are hostile toward me and from those who are hunting me down.
16. Let me see You smiling at me, Lord. Help me because of how kind You are.
17. Don't disappoint me, O Self-Existent One, for I address You by Your name. Do let those who have wrongly disturbed be disappointed; let them become silent in death.
18. Let those who have lied and cheated be silenced. They have spoken shamelessly, scornfully and with contempt and arrogance. They have been mean, despicable and with no respect at all for those who are right.
19. You have the best, most wonderful goodness and joy for those who reverently submit to You. You have already shared some of it with those who confide in You and who run to You for protection.
20. By Your encircling presence You will hide them when people try to trap them with words. You will protect them (as though they were in Your temple) from the arguments and false charges brought against them.
21. I kneel towards the Creator in awe as He reveals to me more of His marvelous, beautiful character which is surrounding me as a guarded protection.
22. In frustration I hastily said, "God isn't listening to me anymore." But You did hear me when I earnestly cried to You for help.
23. Let your affections go out to the Creator, all of you who choose His will. The Lord guards and protects those who choose to belong to Him and makes a covenant of peace with those who accomplish His will to the best of their ability.
24. Everyone who is waiting patiently on the Lord, fasten your heart and thoughts on God's will for you and He will give you the power of His love.

Psalm 30

1. Written by David for singing with instruments when he consecrated his house.
I will exalt You, O Self-Existent One. You have delivered me and not let those who have turned hostile boast that they got the better of me.
2 - 3. Almighty God, I petitioned you to heal me, which You did by lifting me out of demanding circumstances and reviving me so I didn't die.
4. Those to whom the Creator shows kindness play instruments and sing to Him. Lift up your hands while commemorating what He has done.
5. God has intense passion and His satisfaction revives. Discouragement may last for a night but shouts of joyful triumph come as the day dawns.
6. When everything was going fine I said I would never get upset or anxious.
7. Lord, when You are pleased with me I am enabled to stand strong. But when I didn't see You I became alarmed and agitated.
8. I address You by Name, Father in heaven, and am earnestly petitioning you.
9. What is gained if I die, or fall as in a trap? Will dirt worship You and describe who You really are?
10. Listen carefully, O Creator, and favorably consider my request. Please surround, protect and help me.
11 - 12. You have changed my sorrow into excitement and my depression into joy. For that reason I will reveal Your honor (but not quietly and sedately) by celebrating with music and song. Almighty God, I reverently hold up my hands to You in thanksgiving and praise. I will worship You for as long as I live.

Psalm 28

1. Written by David. I earnestly address You by name, O Self-Existent One (who is also my refuge). Don't ignore me or leave me alone. If You don't listen to me I will become like those who fall into a prison like pit of depression.
2. Listen carefully to my earnest petitions to You to free me from trouble as I lift my open hands toward Your holy place indicating my earnest desire for Your direction in my life.
3. Don't allow me to closely associate with those who work to cause trouble. Outwardly they act and talk friendly to people while inwardly they plan mischief and evil against them.
4 -5. Give these people who try to spoil and hurt others what they deserve. Because they don't accept the Creator's authority may He disconnect His life from them and let them die.
6. I kneel and adore the Creator because He has intelligently listened to me.
7. Trusting the Lord who surrounds and protects me makes me jump for joy, sing and raise my open hands to Him in loving worship.
8. The same, majestic, Self-Existent One who frees and protects us also fortifies and defends Messiah.
9. Keep safe those who trust You and speak good to those who accept Your authority. Take care of them and bring them into Your loving presence forever.

Psalm 27

1. Written by David. With the Self-Existent One as my Illumination, Happiness and Deliverer, who is of greater value? With the Creator as my defender, who is there that can alarm me?
2. When those who would break me down and cramp my life because of their hostility toward me came to cut down my productiveness and reduce my joy, they faltered and fell.
3. Though a whole group should try to get me down, I will not consider them as my authority. Even though they fight against me, I have a specific confidence.
4. I have made an all-encompassing request to the Self-Existent One and am striving for it. I long to have as intimate relationship with my Creator as a loving couple have with each other in marriage. I want this kind of relationship all the rest of my life so I can contemplate with pleasure the beauty of the Lord and admire, care about and consider Him where He lives.
5. When bad or evil times come He will protect me in His home. He will cover and hide me, protecting me as though I were on a cliff high above my enemies.
6. My response to being with my Lover - Jehovah - high above those who hate me is that I will shout and sing jubilee praises in the Creator's home. I will sing, accompanied by musical instruments, celebrating my Creator's love covenant with me.
7. Lord, I address You reverently by Name, please favorably respond to me.
8. You long for me to behold You. My response is "I will look at You, my Lover."
9. Don't turn away from me if You do get upset with me. You are my only help. Don't let me go, or break Your covenant with me, for You, Creator God, are the One who truly sets me free.
10. When my father and my mother release me, as giving in marriage, then the Self-Existent One will take me to Himself to complete our love covenant.
11. Show me (like pointing your finger in the right way) where You want me to go, my Lover, and guide me in pleasant, prosperous ways - particularly on account of those who are hostile against me and oppose me.
12. Don't allow those who would crowd me and are against me have their way, for cheats and liars have spoken against me as well as those who think cruelty and get violent.
13. I have chosen to trust my Lover and to see His beauty while I'm still alive.
14. You who are reading this, stay connected and united to the Creator God and He will keep you alert mentally and physically. Be sure to stay connected to the Creator, Your lover.

Psalm 26

1. Written by David. Make the right decision about me, O Self-Existent One; I have lived the best way I knew how. I have confidence in the Creator so I will not waver.
2. Investigate me, O Lord. Bring my thinking and emotions into unity with You.
3. By focusing on Your beauty and courtesy I have become stable and trustworthy.
4. I have not remained with desolating people - those who conceal their real motives.
5. I hate those who are good for nothing. I won't stay around those who are bad.
6. I will clean myself, then come close to You in worship, my Creator, so I can intelligently listen to You.
7. Then, with distinctness and awe, I will relate to others Your great and distinguished accomplishments.
8. Lord, I have loved being as intimate with You as in a loving marriage relationship.
9-10. Don't consider me a criminal or a prostitute selfishly wanting intimacy.
11. As for me, I belong only to You. Keep me close to You and be kind to me.
12. I am walking in Your right way. With Your family I will kneel to worship You.

Psalm 25

1. A song written by David. I come close to You, Creator God.
2. I find refuge in You - my Almighty and Supreme God. Don't let me become pale in embarrassment, but don't let those who hate me exult over me either.
3. Let no one who unites in you be ashamed and embarrassed. Rather, let those be ashamed and embarrassed who do wrong for no good reason.
4. Enable me to experience Your plan for me and entice me into it with Your incentives to keep me in Your will, My Creator.
5. Walk with me to develop my complete trust in You (through Your loving incentives) my Almighty God who saves me. I choose to stay with You all the time.
6. Keep using Your compassion, love, cherishing me as in the womb, and beautiful kindness, Eternal One, which You have always exhibited.
7. Don't think about when I missed your plan for me in the past or when I haven't accepted your authority. But according to how good and kind You are, O Creator, keep me in your mind.
8. The good and right Creator will point out the correct way to those who have missed it.
9. God will guide to make right decisions those who recognize their need of help and who keep busy and He will give them incentives to walk in His way.
10. God's beautiful and certain ways are for those choosing His clear will.
11. For Your honor, Eternal One, forgive my many wrongs and sins.
12-13. Does a person reverently submit to the will of the Creator? God will choose the best way for that person to live well, and even his family will inherit the earth.
14. Those who reverently submit to the Creator experience an intimate covenant relationship.
15. I look to the Self-Existent One to bring me out of traps set for me.
16. Look favorably on me (the one You love) Lord, for I'm depressed.
17. My problems keep getting bigger; bring me out of my difficulties.
18. You see what is keeping me occupied and wearing me out. Forgive me where I have been thinking and doing things the wrong ways.
19. You see that those who hate me keep increasing and become more and more violent.
20. Guard my life and snatch me away from them. Don't let me be disappointed because I confide in You and trust You.
21. Let Your complete innocence maintain me for I am united to You.
22. Ransom and release those who choose You, Supreme God, from the power of Your rival.

Psalm 24

1-2. A Song for voice and instrument, written by David.
This earth and everything in it - including people - belongs to the Creator God who put the land on water and prepared everything in this earth to prosper.
3. Who will go up to the Creator, or rise into His sacred presence?
4. He who does the right thing and has a clear conscience; who does not rush into temptation or make sacred covenants falsely.
5. The Self-Existent One will speak good to him and make him right.
6. This type of person searches for and worships God. (Pause in music)
7. Open your doors, O eternal heavens, for the glorious King to enter.
8. Who is this Honorable King? The Mighty, Valiant, Self-Existent One!
9. Open your doors, O eternal heavens, for the glorious King to enter.
10. Who is this ascending King? The Creator God of everyone. He ascends the everlasting throne! (Meditate and think upon that.)

Psalm 23

1. A musical celebration using voice and instrument, written by David. Since I am being taken care of by the Self-Existent One, I lack nothing.
2. He leads me to repose and rest in lovely, beautiful places: He enables me to run with a sparkle upwards to peaceful refreshment.
3. He restores my vitality: He conducts me with delight to prosperous areas because of who He is and because He is paying attention to me.
4. Even when I experience calamity, I won't be afraid of being broken for You are with me - Your guidance protects and consoles me.
5. You take care of me, even in the presence of those who are against me. You satisfy me with more than enough.
6. Joyful favor and beautiful kindness will revive and refresh me and I will be permanently married into the family of God.

Psalm 22

1. For the director of music. To the tune of “The Doe of Dawn.” A poem put to music, written by David.
Questions asked
My God, my Almighty God, have You let go of me? Quit helping me? Quit listening to my deep cries of distress?
2. O, the One I worship as Supreme, I urgently address You by Your Name all day long. Are you paying any attention? - Even during the night season I am not quiet.
Looking at evidence related to the questions
3. Yet You, sacred and clean, unite with and dwell in the hymns and celebrations where You prevail.
4. Our fathers were bold in You. They had such confidence in you that You carried them away safely.
5. They passionately cried unto You and You slipped them away to safely: They hastened to you in hope and were not disappointed or ashamed.
6. But I - bloody, not treated like a human being - am defamed and disgraced by those milling around me.
7. Those who see me deride, making fun of me as if I was a foreigner. They stare, make strange sounds and wag their heads as they jeeringly say,
8. 'He committed himself to God for safety. Let God set him free, since He was pleased with him.'
9. God, You enabled me to be born and You gave me confidence even while I was still nursing my mother.
10. I was entirely dependent upon You from birth - even from conception.
11. Don't leave me now: my rival opponents are crowding around and I have no protection.
12. Myriads of them, breaking forth in wild strength, revolve around me to violate and frustrate me; the chiefest and most valiant ones enclose around me and besiege me.
13. They opened their mouths toward me like blood thirsty, roaring, violent lions.
14. I am spilled like urine; my body is pulled out of shape; my heart feels like hot wax melted into my abdomen.
15. I am confused, ashamed, withering up to die - yet with me not speaking a word, as you reduce me to dust.
16. Those cooperating with my arch rival surround me; those worthless spoilers beat me up and cut me down, violently piercing my hands and my feet.
17. Since I am naked all my bones are visible. Those standing around stare at me.
18. They separate my clothes among them and cast lots for my outer garment.
After looking at evidence, God has not forsaken and an appeal to not change
19. Don't leave me, O Self-Existent One. Quickly surround me, O my Protection.
20. Save me from becoming disconnected from You. Protect my unity with you from false leaders.
21. Keep me from being violently blown away. You have responded to me with your conspicuous power.
Final answers and conclusions
22. I will recount and celebrate your character (what you are really like) with my family, and even in the middle of the multitude I will boast of You.
Recommendations for others
23. You who reverently submit to the Creator God, boast of Him. All of you who were born into the family honor Him. Take time with Him, everyone who is an offspring of those who have prevailed with the Almighty,
24. He has not put down or loathed those who are depressed; neither has He turned away from those who cried to be set free, but rather responded intelligently.
Conclusions
25. I will boast of You in church: I will fulfill my promises to God before those that honor and revere Him.
26. Those who are busy being humble and gentle will become satisfied; those who follow and worship Him will boast about the Self-Existent One - their inner life will be continually revived.
27-28. Everyone in this world will again acknowledge the Creator God: all the tribes on this earth will prostrate flat in His presence, for the Creator's kingdom rules everywhere.
29. Those who reproduced on earth will bow down in worship. All who have died will once again bow before the Self-Existent One. No one can keep his own soul alive.
30. A special posterity will work for Him; it will be inscribed to the Sovereign Lord for a dwelling:
31. They will go out and explain to others His justice, His virtue and what He has done.

Psalm 21

1. For the superintendent of Music, a celebration song written by David for both instrument and voice. The king delights in how strong You are, Creator God. Your victories animate him to sing and dance with intense joy.
2. You have given him his deepest longings, not even denying his spoken desire to unite with You as intimately as in a marriage relationship. (Meditate)
3. You hasten to benefit him with your goodness. You place on his head a crown of pure gold.
4. He asked to live in You and You gave him Your own eternal life.
5. The king's great splendor, grandeur and magnificence is the result of You setting him free and placing him in that position.
6. You placed him there to adore and speak good of God, thus revealing His character. You have given him intense JOY as You have looked upon him.
7. The king is confident in the Creator God and while bowing in respect before the Supreme God he will not waver.
8. You will also appear to those who hate you. They too will experience your strength.
9. Your presence and full power will be to them destructive - as fire. The Self-Existent One's breath (His life) is so powerfull that, like fire, it will consume them.
0. Even their families will cease - with no offspring.
11. They schemed evil plots against You, but couldn't carry out their plans.
12. You will eventually allow them to receive the full consequences of their choices by turning your life giving gaze away from them, leaving them lifeless.
13. Creator God, Your ways are high above the way we think and act. You are strong in Yourself. We will sing and make music about Your victory.

Psalm 20

1 - 2. A poem set to music by David for the permanent collection. The Creator will pay attention and respond to You when you are in cramped, tight situations. As Supreme God - even of those who have not always treated others properly - He will make you safe; sending you protection from His perfect dwelling and supporting you from His capital.
3. He will mark every donation and be satisfied with your sacrifices. (Meditate)
4. May He give you your heart's desire and fulfill your plans.
5. We will shout for JOY in our deliverance and in the authority of Almighty God we will make our loyalty to Him conspicuous.
6. I see now that the Creator keeps His consecrated ones safe. He will pay attention to each one of them - even from His sacred dwelling place - with free, open, saving victory through His strong power.
7. Some people trust in team effort and think they can quickly get out of trouble: but we will remember and accept the authority of our Creator, the Almighty God.
8. They sink and fall but we rise and are restored.
9. Set us free, Lord: As our King pay attention to us when we call you by Name.

Psalm 18

1. (For the music director) This minstrelsy type poem/song was written by David, a devoted worshiper and loyal subject of the Creator God. He arranged this Psalm specifically to praise and glorify the Creator God who snatched him from being subservient to those who hated him and particularly from the power of Saul,

My Creator, I have very tender feelings toward You and am holding tightly to You.
2. The Self Existent One is my stronghold, staying alongside me to catch me and enable me to escape. He is my strong support and refuge where I flee for protection, my defense and the Power that keeps me free and strong.
(Reason given for writing Psalm)
3. I will specifically call, by His name, the Creator, to shine - which is how I will be set free from those hostile toward me.
4-5 Threats to kill surrounded me; people wore me out without helping me, giving me a lot of trouble. Tight demands surrounded me: traps set to kill me restricted my movements.
(Appeal for help)
6. From my cramped, tight situation I addressed the Creator God - my Supreme, Three-in-One God by Name - to free me. From His temple He listened intelligently to my intense appeal to Him for help.
(God's intensely passionate response)
7- 8 Then the earth shook violently, undulating in waves; the hills quivered intensely as God responded in His power. His emotions exhibited as smoke from His nostrils and as embers of fire blowing from His mouth kindling coals of fire.
9 He bent the heavens out of His way as He descended - though before Him was gloom.
10-11 He dispatched a heavenly being to attend Him. He approached with frequencies the speed of thought. At first He hid Himself by holding in His Light - thus being enveloped in an impenetrable, vapor like, cloud of darkness.
(Copulation)
12. Then His dark 'covering' exploded open producing a 'fire show' hailing stones and flaming embers.
13. The Creator's voice sounded like thunder rolling through the atmosphere producing visible effects hailing stones and fiery hot flames.
14. He sent out lightening bolts dispersing His enemies; shafts of His light greatly agitated them and put them in an uproar.

(Conception)
15. As this strong exhibition of Your presence was manifested, the very foundations of the world were revealed, O Self Existent One, as You breathed out divine Inspiration giving birth to new life.
16 - 17. From His high and elevated place He pulled me out of 'negatively charged' surroundings - snatching me from those who are hostile toward me and hate me, for they are too alert and cunning for me.
18 - 19. They anticipated my every move when I was discouraged, but the Creator God protected and sustained me. He set me free and equipped me because He delighted to be with me.
20. As I grew up My Creator weaned me and He has been allowing me more and more 'room' to make decisions according to my maturity level - which also empowers me to see more clearly as He sees.
21-22. I learned God's way of living and have not rebelled against Him. His system of government has been carefully explained to me and I have not turned from His revealed will.
(Adolescence - youth)
23. I became so fully in harmony with Him that it guarded me from doing anything amiss - other than His way.
(Adulthood)
24. My Creator has mentored me into a mature adult as I have stayed with Him - to see as He sees.
25 - 26. You, God, will treat a person who is kind and courteous, kind and courteously; to a person who has matured, you will respond in a mature manner; to those who see clearly you will enlighten them even more; to those who distort - think and act out of harmony with Your will - You will appear to them as unsavory and even as torturing them.
27. You are open with those who feel their need staying in community; but those who choose to act independent will be exposed and embarrassed.
(Parenthood)
28 -29. You, my Creator, ignite my passion; my heavenly Father and Mother illuminate everything in my heart, enabling me to quickly maneuver through intimidating opposition, and leap over any obstacles.
30. The way God does things is complete and what the Self-Existent One says agrees with His actions and protects everyone who unites and agrees with Him.
31. Is there any god except the Almighty, Self-Existent One? Is anyone a protection as the Divine Parents, the Supreme Diety?
(Defender)
32. Great Almighty Chief encompasses me - hugging me with strong arms and whirling me around in joy enabling me to see better in all 'directions' - as He puts me into His harmonious way of living.
33. He empowers me to leap forward, like a deer, to achieve my goals.
34. He urges me to use power and means I receive from Him in fighting to disperse (eliminate) even severe, negatively charged atmosphere by techniques I learn from Him.
35. God, You place your saving protection around me; Your stronger (male dominant) side supports me, and Your modest, (female dominant) gentle purity increases my confidence in You.
36. You have broadened my life experiences so I am no longer indecisive.
37-38. I went after those who hate me and confronted them: I didn't stop until they were vanquished; I didn't back off until the hateful spirit was subdued and destroyed and could not rise again: fallen under my approach.
39. You have encompassed me, hugging me with Your strong arms and dancing with me in joy, increasing my ability to 'see' in all 'directions' in preparation for this consuming engagement against those who are against me.
40. You have humbled and prostrated beneath me those who betrayed me. You have broken the necks of those who were hostile to me so I could eradicate and totally destroy this hateful spirit.
41. They yelled out loud for help, but no one - not even the Creator God - came to their rescue.
42. So I continued beating and breaking that hostility until it was like ashes blown away by the wind; like sticky mud, I washed it away from my life.
(Elderhood)
43. You slipped me away when others argued and wrangled. You put people in my charge I didn't previously know.
44. They listened to my instructions, yet these workers were disloyal to me: acting feignedly but not in harmony with me.
45. These kinds of people act foolishly, they will fail and will disgracefully and suddenly desert their responsibilities.

(Worship)
46 -47. My Creator lives; I reverently kneel in Your presence to exalt You, Almighty God, who has set me free and keeps me safe. You, God - my Strength and my Chief - will avenge what has happened to me and will subdue the people who were under me.
48. He slipped me away from those who betrayed me. Yes, You lifted me up above those who came against me: You snatched me away from those who were attempting to get unjust gain from me.
49. This is why I worship You - My Creator. With others I will sing of Your authority, honor and who You really are.

50. You give ever increasing victories to those in charge of Your family. You reveal Your beauty of character through Your Messiah to David and his family forever.

Psalm 19

The sun, moon and stars, and even the very air we breathe, all reveal what God is like
and what He has done. Every daily cycle communicates and reveals more about who God really
is and how He acts. This communication is not ‘verbal’ – spoken words. But everywhere in the entire world are found illustrations and communications revealing more about the Creator God.
In the natural world one illustration God uses to reveal more about Himself is the sun. The sun comes up in glory similar to a bridegroom presenting himself, or as a powerful person following
a well traveled road. Similar to the sun, the Creator God of the Universe is everywhere - just as
the sun shines everywhere. And just as the light of the sun’s rays shine everywhere so nothing is
hid from God’s all encompassing presence. The power flowing from the Lord is complete and
draws living creatures to Himself. The daily repeating witness of the Lord (similar to the sun
coming up every day) builds up and supports those whose minds open to Him. God caring for
His family is right and convenient and gives JOY to His created beings. Loving God’s
directions enables us to understand Him even more. The more we reverence God the more we
learn about Him and become like Him. God’s decisions are trustworthy and not changing. To
know the Creator God is far more valuable than understanding the natural world, such as the sun.
It is more satisfying than even the most special food is to the taste. Receiving God protects a
person with awesome results. Who can figure out what is wrong with one’s own ‘self’? God
alone is able to reveal that to an individual.
Dear God, keep me from being proud, arrogant or insolent. Don’t let any of those
ungodly traits of character find any place in me. I choose to be like You, God, so I don’t have
any of those rebellious attitudes in me. Let everything I say or think be pleasing to you Lord, for You are my Power Source and my Redeemer.

Psalm 17

1. A hymn written by David.
O Creator, listen to what I am really trying to say even if it only sounds like strange noises. Honestly, what I am saying is not to betray or ridicule You.
2. Let Your decisions about me be based on Your balanced, perfect (love based) view of me.
3. You know what is inside of me - even my deepest secrets. You have been maturing me (growing me up) and I am determined that I will vindicate You.
4. Compared to other people's habits, I've been guarded from becoming destructive by using Your Words.
5. Sustain me in Your way so I don't 'miss a beat'.
6. I address You by Name for You pay attention to what I say, Almighty God.
7. Reveal your distinguished, kind courtesy to those You rescue by Your power - who confide in You, particularly when others argue and contend.
8. Protect me - as a person protects their eyes; hide me, by hovering over me,
9. from those who abuse me by acting like they are so 'great' but really aren't, yet strike out at me in hostility.
10. They are surrounded by the choicest things, they arrange everything to make themselves look the very best.
11. They advance to surround those of us who are going straight: they appear 'humble' -
12. like a preying lion about to pull down his prey or an ambush quietly waiting in hiding.
13. Do something first, O Creator, so they fall: rescue me from the violators who are parched without You.
14. Powerful people living right now, O Creator, are rich and leave a big inheritance to their families.
15. As for me, I will contemplate You with joy; I will be filled with peace when I awake just like You.

Psalm 16

1. A permanent poem written by David.
Take care of me, Almighty God, for I have confidence in You.
2, 3. My heart said to You, my Creator God: "I am not comparing my goodness with You, my Sovereign, rather to Your family here on earth and to those who are special to me.
4. Those who 'go with the flow' and get behind shall have a lot more sorrow. What they make more important than You I won't even mention with my mouth."
5. My Creator God is my inheritance and He takes care of me.
6. I accept this covenant as agreeable. Yes, I consider this to be extremely good.
7. I kneel before my Creator who advises me; my 'inner self' also corrects me at night.
8. I have chosen to always be guided by My Creator God so I won't waver.
9. It gives me intense pleasure knowing I can trust Him.
10. You, Creator God, won't leave me in demanding situations to be overcome by horrible messes.
11. Your guidance leads me to be with You, giving me real JOY. This is the best place I can ever be.

Psalm 14

1. A poem song written by David for the permanent collection.
The person who is not in harmony with God thinks a Supreme being doesn’t even exist.
That kind of thinking ruins a person, resulting in detestable actions but no good works.
2. The Creator God is watching the activities of this earth from where He lives in heaven. He is looking to see if there is anyone intelligent – anyone who lives and loves like Him.
3. Those who don’t agree with Him have gone off in all different ways. Unitedly they have chosen their own way and the result is muddled confusion.
4. Can’t those who exert themselves for nothing observe that is what they are ‘doing’?
They ‘attack’ God’s people and consume them like bread but don’t talk to God about it.
5. Ah, they will suddenly be startled as by a sudden alarm, for God is with those who choose to come into harmony with Him.
6. You who don’t believe in God have put down the advice of those you consider not as ‘good’ as you, but they still confide in their heavenly Father.
7. Oh that victory for God’s family were already come from God. When the Creator God delivers His family, they will spin around in joy as they express their delight in freedom.

Psalm 15

1. A poem song written by David.
Creator God, who will live in full sight of You? Who will permanently reside in your high dwelling place?
2. The person who arranges his inner feelings and thoughts to be in complete alignment with You and by his actions reveal what You are really like.
3. The person who doesn’t examine others to gossip about their faults; whose actions don’t put others down; and who doesn’t disgrace friends, neighbors or associates.
4. On the other hand, God’s type of person does not consider worthy of regard those who purposely choose wrong; but honors those who revere the Creator God. The word of such a person can be trusted. If they made a mistake, they will take the responsibility and won’t change even if it means they may suffer loss because of what they promised.
5. God’s kind of person shares what is valuable with those who need help with no interest; but won’t take a bribe to push them to witness against innocent people.
The kind of person listed above won’t slip, shake, waver or fall.

Psalm 13

On permanent file, a celebration in song written by David.
1. How long, O Self-Existent One, will You ignore me? What is Your goal? What will it take to get You to pay attention to me?
2.So, how long will I keep giving myself directions and getting in trouble all the time? How long will those who hate me get the best over me?
3. O, Supreme heavenly Father, please look at me and listen to what I am saying. Enable me to see the way you see, or else I may die.
4.Otherwise those against me will say ‘I won’ and celebrate when I make mistakes or do the wrong thing.
5.But I’m hurrying back to you and find refuge in your kindness; Every part of me celebrates that You set me free by Your love.
6. Wow! I will sing to my heavenly Father because HE is growing me up.

Friday, June 1, 2007

Psalm 7

1-2. By David (loving) to sing as a strolling minstrelsy to the Self-Existent One about the problem with Cush the Benjamite. (Could this be 'code' name used to refer to some of David’s later experiences with King Saul who was of the tribe Benjamin?)
Heavenly Father, You are Supreme so I am confiding in You. Free me quickly from those who chase me or they will treat me like a hungry lion who brakes up and crunches its prey if no one rescues.
3-5. Creator God, You are my judge. If I wronged this person by my actions – if I have treated as good for nothing this one who was getting along fine with me (who, in reality, I equipped and helped to succeed - the one who is now, without a cause, trying to cramp me) let this one who hates me run after me and hurt me; yes, let this person walk all over me and grind my self-respect into the dust. (Pause, think about it.)
6-7. Rise up, O Self-Existent One, in Your full passion. Take Your position as rightful Judge because of these outbursts and violation of my boundaries by those who are trying to cramp me. Activate the verdict you already made about me so the community of my family will agree with You. For their sakes take your position as the Supreme Court Judge.
8. The Self-Existent Judge will argue my case with the family and my associates. Give a verdict; pass judgment concerning me, O Self-Existent One, according to how I am right and how I am innocent.
9. Please! Let this spoiling and making things ‘good for nothing’ done by the one who is wrong, the one who is disturbing and violating me, come to an end; but vindicate those who are right. You, God are right and you investigate both of our hearts and our minds.
10-11. My protection of the Eternal Diety who saves those who have right motives in their heart is that the Supreme God judges the righteous. The Almighty has intense passion all of the time.
12-13. If He doesn’t turn, the Supreme God will intensify His power (His Word); His intense movements are ready to desolate and destroy and those who ‘flame’ out of control will die.
14. Wow! Those who disagree with the Creator God writhe in pain as in childbirth - panting and exerting in vain, yet coming to naught and trouble. They are pregnant (filled) with toil, wearing effort, severe work and worry and yet bring forth falsehoods, untruths, shams and cheats.
15. He designs and digs a traphole; then falls and slides into the pit he made.
16. All this wearing effort, intense work and worry will come back on him, and he will be treated how he mistreated others.
17. I will throw up my open hands to You, O Self-Existent One because You have made things right. I will sing praise to honor the authority and love based character of You who are the Supreme, Self-Existent God who is above all creation.

Psalm 11

One of David’s permanent songs.

1. O Creator God, the One in whom I confide; why do you say to me, disappear as a bird among the hills?
2. Oh, those who are wrong set up a trap, they are ready and plan from obscurity how to shoot those whose life is right.
3. When correct morality is ‘done away with’ what can those who are right do?
4. From His sacred place in control the Creator God is watching everything happening on this earth.
5-6. He investigates those who agree with Him, but those who do not agree with Him. He hates those who love to be cruel and do damage, which will bring upon them snares, fire and sulphur and famine with blowing winds.
7. The Creator God loves those who agree with Him and He smiles with pleasure at them.

My son's paraphrase

I find refuge in God as my fortress. Why do you say to me ‘run like a ‘scaredy cat’, ‘fly faster than a humming bird’ to the hills and ‘play dead like a possum’?
Come on, man. ‘Don’t you know, haven’t you heard, hasn’t anyone ever told you’, The wicked! All they do is scheme. They set traps and attack those who are righteous, like hunters that lay in wait to kill.
Hey man, (Slap - on the back of the head) The Lord is in heaven and He knows what is going on. He puts everyone to the test - as one tests a weld. Those who are ‘good welds’ He shows off and He is proud of and admires: they are His trophies that He shows to everyone. Those who fail are not good for any practical use. Like a ‘bad weld’ that cracked they are discarded and will eventually be melted down at the ‘foundry’.

Psalm 9

1. A song written by David to be sung using a popular melody of that day and with instruments.
I will throw open my hands in worship to the Self-Existent One with my entire heart, the very center of me. I will enumerate and celebrate marvelous, wonderful and difficult works which the Creator God has done.
2. I will be exuberant and romp for joy while I exalt in thee. I will sing songs that celebrate your honor, authority and character - You who are Supreme.
3. When those who are hostile towards me retreat backward they will totter, waver and fall while wandering away from your face.
4. For you have made a verdict about me that was right, you remain on the seat of judgment to make right decisions.
5. You chided and reproved everyone who was not an overcomer. You have lost those who were wrong so you erased their position and took away their authority from as far back as is recorded history and onward continually.
6. Those of you who are hostile and who hate me and are my adversaries, ahead of you is parched drought and desolate completion: you have torn away places that were being guarded; their remembrance and recognition is lost with them.
7. But the Self-Existent One sits from as far back as history goes and onward for ever. He has set up His seat from which to accept final decisions.
8. He shall judge the inhabitants of this earth, to clear Himself. He is sovereign. He controls the community in even, straight ways.
9. The Self-Existent One is a safe place for those who have been crushed and injured, a refuge continuing onward for those who are in narrow, tight places, crowded by an opponent, someone against God.
10.Those who ascertain and recognize your authority and Your honor will quickly move toward you for refuge, O Self-Existent One for You have not relinquished or let go of the ones who look for You and who make you Supreme in their lives.
11. Sing praises to the One who is self-existent, who remains in the permanent capitol of the Universe. Bring to the front and make manifest among all people groups the exploits and performance of the Creator God
12. When He walked to perish while He marked those and was not oblivious to the shrieks of those who were pressed down and depressed.
13. Bend in kindness and favor me, O Self-existent One; see my depression and when I look down because of those who hate me. You are the One who raises me and gives me Your life up from dying
14. That I may enumerate, intensely recount and celebrate every hymn in the door of the builder of your government and capitol; I will spin around with intense JOY in response to Your freedom and safety.
15. Those who have not chosen to belong to You are caught in the trap they made; that which they set to trip up others has caught them.
16. The Creator God is recognized by His law which He made and keeps. Those who have violated it are entrapped by their own contradictions between what they say and what they do. (Pause to think.)
17. Those who disturb others, who violate God’s law and everyone who is oblivious of the Almighty shall shall retreat into demanding of others.
18. The destitute and those who sense their needs won’t always be forgotten, the wants of the poor and depressed shall not go on forever.
19. Arise, O Creator God. Don’t let frail, feeble humans who can die prevail because they are so stout and stubborn. Accept the decisions of everyone as You see them.
20. Frighten the world, O Creator God, in such a way that everyone will recognize and ascertain by seeing that they are mortal and can die – not in charge like You are.

Psalm 8

1. O Self-Existent One, Our Sovereign, Your authority, your honor, your character is powerful, wide and large everywhere. Even looking up I can see your grandeur.
2. The intimate relation between a nursing baby and mother illustrates how you give security to counteract those who have tried to ‘cramp’ You and stops the lies coming from those who hate you and have a grudge against You, my heavenly Father.
3. To get a better idea of who You really are I only need to look up and observe what even something so small as even Your finger can accomplish – such awesome things such as the moon and stars which you have integrated into a universe.
4. When I see how overwhelmingly ‘big’ and awesome what you have created is I begin to wonder why You even consider created human beings.
5. You made them just a little less than yourself; you gave them the power to reproduce, make families and you care for them, pay attention to them and miss being with them .
6 -8. You made the human family just slightly less than God and surrounded him with splendor and magnificence. You made him ruler over everything You created here on earth – all sources of provisions and all ecosystems.
9. O Lord, You are powerful and Your position is over all.

Psalm 12

A poem put to music, written by David.
1. Open up to me, O Self-Existent One, for kind, merciful people are scarce. Those who build up and foster trust have just about disappeared from society.
2. The rest of the people use their energies only to devastate, ruin or make useless those around them while at the same time they talk politically correct to their face.
3. The Creator God will disconnect His life power from all who speak one way and act the opposite, who brag about themselves or speak insolently and twisted.
4. This ‘disconnection’ from God’s life will also happen to those who think they can control others by their words, talk as they choose and then boast that no one else can tell them what to do.
5, The Creator God hears the devastation of those who have been browbeaten and squished. He hears the shrieking and groaning of those whose feelings have been so very deeply hurt and who have felt forced to behave like a beggar. God says, “Now I will act and deliver him from those braggers and scoffers”.
6. What God says is correct and unadulterated – like completely purified silver. O Creator God, 7. You will protect Your family from those kinds of people -
8. who are everywhere when tempestuous people are popular.

Psalm 10

1. Why do you seem so far away, Lord, when things get tough and rough?
2. People with wrong attitudes keep giving others a hard time. Let them be treated the same way they treat others.
3. ‘ Those with ‘attitudes’ show their ‘stuff’ and idolize the ones God abhores.
4. Those with that kind of attitude don’t want to change. God’s will doesn’t even cross their minds. They always choose perversions or twisted ways.
5. Your ways, God, are clear out of their sight and they even scoff at anyone who doesn’t have an attitude like theirs.
6. They have the idea: “I have everything altogether, nobody can make me change.”
7. They curse, swear, lie, oppresse others, make fun of others and put self ‘up’ as ‘the best’.
8. They murder guiltless people behind the scenes and in secret do away with others not in the ‘spotlight’.
9. Like a lion they seize the assets of those less fortunate.
10. They act like one of them, get the poor to have confidence in them and donate, thus getting their assets and ruining them.
11. They think God isn’t paying attention to what they are doing.
12. Lord, open your hand in power and don’t forget those who have been hurt.
13. Why do these people with wrong attitudes scorn God by thinking that He won’t find out what they have been doing?

Psalm 6

1. Written to be accompanied by flute and eight string lyre by David. O Self-Existent One, don’t make decisions about me or instruct me with an intent to correct me when you are in intense passion.
2. Be kind to me - I am your inferior – for I am drooping, O Self-Existent One. Cure me, for my strength trembles and shakes and I am alarmed and agitated.
3. How much longer, Lord will this continue?
4. Come back, Lord and pull me free me because you are looking down to me and paying attention to me.
5. When a person dies – no more life from You – who mentions You, or who thanks and worships You where no inquiry about You is made?
6. I am exhaustedly tired from sighing. I cried so much all night that my bed was wet from my tears.
7. I have cried so much that my eyes are failing because of trouble. My eyes have aged because of those who ‘cramped’ me.
8. Turn from me, every one of you who practice and pant after vanity and wickedness, for The Self-Existent One has intelligently heard my crying and moaning.
9. He has heard my entreaty and He will take my intercession and song.
10. Let those who hate me be pale and quickly tremble. Let them suddenly and violently be turn back and disappointed.

Psalm 5

1. To the Choir director, composed by David.
Creator God, listen carefully to what I am trying to express to You. Understand even my murmurings.
2. Perk up Your ears as I call aloud for freedom to You who reigns over all. I choose to belong to You and communicate with You.

3. You will hear me at dawn. At the break of day I set my requests before You as I lean forward and peer upward.
4. You are not pleased with those who do or declare wrong. Those who break away from You can't stand to be where You are.
5. Those who boast and showoff can't stand to be in Your presence. You hate those who exert themselves toward ‘nothingness’.
6. You will allow to wander and lose themselves who arrange untruths and falsehood . It hurts You deeply to see those who cause death to others and who delude and betray others and especially those who are already frail and feeble.
7. But as for me, I come into Your presence because You have so much kindness. In reverence I worship You, looking toward where You live.

8. Guide me right, Heavenly Father, because there are those who are hostile against me. Enable me to follow Your course of life for me and keep it before me no matter where I turn.
9. Those who are against me aren’t ‘straight’ in what they say or even think in their mind. They are intense, with a rushing desire to do ruin. What comes out of their mouths is like the stench of dead bodies in an open grave so that even though they are ‘smooth’ talking they are still making false statements.
10. Let them be guilty, O God. Let them fall by their own advise and purposes. Push them off in the abundance of their own revolt for they are bitter against Thee.
11. But let everyone who trusts You and flees to You brighten up with JOY. Let them keep shouting for JOY because You have entwined about them and fenced them in. Let those who have affection for who You really are jump for JOY!.

12. For You, Lord, the Self-Existent One, will kneel before those who have delighted in You and will encircle them with Your protection similar to a prickly thorn hedge.

Psalm 4

1. A ‘hymn, or song written by David
(Begins with a direct prayer to God)
Turn your eyes to me when I address you, God (Three in One), the source of my being right. You have given me more space when I was in a cramped situation. Give me your favor and listen intelligently to my hymn song.
(Now speaking to others)
2. All of you, how much time are you going to take trying to put me down. You seem to love things that are worthless and go looking for lies and deceptions. (Think about it)
3. But be assured that the One who is Life distinguished those who are kind as belonging to Him. He will understand when I properly address Him by His Name.
4. Have proper reverence to God and don’t miss. Talk to yourself when you are resting and just relax. (Think about it)
5. Offer what is right and hurry to the Lord
6. A lot of people say ‘show us what good God has been to us’.
(Speaking to God again)
6. Lord, You who have life in Yourself, look at us with happiness and joy.
7. You have put joy in my heart more than I feel happy at a harvest festival.
8. I relax and even go to sleep, for You, Lord, are the One who keeps me safe.

Psalm 3

1. Lord, you who have life within yourself, how many (multitudes) have ‘cramped’ me and tried to ‘take over’. There are so many that have openly said they are against me.
2. So many are saying that my case is hopeless, especially as far as God helping me.
3. But you, Lord, Who alone has life with You, are protecting me. You are developing Your character in me and you even draw me out of feeling ‘hopeless’.
4. I properly addressed God and He paid attention to me, even from heaven.
5. I slept and I wake up for the Self-Existent One takes care of me.
6. I WILL NOT BE AFRAID even if multiplied myriads of people come against me and surround me.
7. Lord, You who are life itself, have set me free. You take care of all those who hate me. It was as if You slapped them in the face and took the sharp points out of those who are violating me and disturbing me.
8. This kind of deliverance and aid is what you do, Lord. Your benediction and prosperity is upon your family.

Psalm 1

1.God speaks good of those who don’t follow the advise of the morally wrong, who don’t act like them, follow their ways, or unite with those who scoff at God’s will.
2. This kind of person desires and delights in the ‘Self-Existent One’s teaching and repeats and ponders them all the time.
3.This kind of person lives in God’s presence and is like a tree growing by continually flowing water. That constant source of life continuously reveals God in that person’s life and encourages constant growth – not wilting, fainting and falling. Whatever that person does will be pushed forward.
4. Those who choose any other than God’s will are different. They become lightweight like dust or ‘chaff’ which gets scattered and blown away.
5.Those who choose any will other than God’s will won’t rise to vindicate God when it is time for a verdict. Those who have held on to guilt can’t give accurate testimony.
6.The Self-Existent One knows the course of life and mode of action of those who choose His will but those who have chosen any other will wander, lose their way and destroy themselves.

Psalm 2

1. Why, how and when are those who are not part of God’s spiritual family so tumultuous? What is causing them to come up with such empty, worthless imaginings?
2. Those who have been given authority on earth have chosen, after consulting with their governments, to rebel against the Self-Existent One AND against the Anointed One, Messiah. They state
3. ‘Let us refuse to accept any reproofs or corrections - anything that would indicate God’s authority over us’.
4 The Self-Existent One in heaven, who still has authority over all He has created is ‘amused’ at how mixed up and unintelligible those who choose their own way have gotten
5 The time will come, however, when He will arrange events which will subdue them as they experience His ‘full power, full passion’. They will tremble, be alarmed and become greatly agitated as they realize His full strength which is like a blazing fire to them.
(God speaking)
6 I anointed, poured out as libation, my ‘king’ in a sacred place and as a conspicuous pillar
7 I will recount and celebrate that appointment, enactment, covenant.
The Self-Existent One (Father) said to me (God the Son) “You are My Son, the builder of My Family Name. The day you become a human, then I am Your Father.
8. Request of me and I will give You nations for Your inheritance. The whole earth will be taken back and placed again under Your authority and be in Your possession.
9. What does not come under your covenant control will become ‘good for nothing’ by a group of people who are strong like iron, or like a smashed up piece of pottery.
(the author speaking ‘for God’ to the inhabitants of this earth)
10 Become intelligent right away, you who are in positions of authority. Learn and take instructions you who judge and govern.
11 Choose to come under God’s authority and reverently submit to His control. Rejoice in the Lord’s love and goodness with awe.
12 Show loyalty to God the Son, who is the heir apparent to the throne of the universe, or else when He reveals His full power and you destroy yourself from being alive.
Prosperous, level, going forward is everyone who flees for protection to and confides in God the Son.
