Psalm 16

1. A permanent poem written by David.
Take care of me, Almighty God, for I have confidence in You.
2, 3. My heart said to You, my Creator God: "I am not comparing my goodness with You, my Sovereign, rather to Your family here on earth and to those who are special to me.
4. Those who 'go with the flow' and get behind shall have a lot more sorrow. What they make more important than You I won't even mention with my mouth."
5. My Creator God is my inheritance and He takes care of me.
6. I accept this covenant as agreeable. Yes, I consider this to be extremely good.
7. I kneel before my Creator who advises me; my 'inner self' also corrects me at night.
8. I have chosen to always be guided by My Creator God so I won't waver.
9. It gives me intense pleasure knowing I can trust Him.
10. You, Creator God, won't leave me in demanding situations to be overcome by horrible messes.
11. Your guidance leads me to be with You, giving me real JOY. This is the best place I can ever be.

Psalm 14

1. A poem song written by David for the permanent collection.
The person who is not in harmony with God thinks a Supreme being doesn’t even exist.
That kind of thinking ruins a person, resulting in detestable actions but no good works.
2. The Creator God is watching the activities of this earth from where He lives in heaven. He is looking to see if there is anyone intelligent – anyone who lives and loves like Him.
3. Those who don’t agree with Him have gone off in all different ways. Unitedly they have chosen their own way and the result is muddled confusion.
4. Can’t those who exert themselves for nothing observe that is what they are ‘doing’?
They ‘attack’ God’s people and consume them like bread but don’t talk to God about it.
5. Ah, they will suddenly be startled as by a sudden alarm, for God is with those who choose to come into harmony with Him.
6. You who don’t believe in God have put down the advice of those you consider not as ‘good’ as you, but they still confide in their heavenly Father.
7. Oh that victory for God’s family were already come from God. When the Creator God delivers His family, they will spin around in joy as they express their delight in freedom.

Psalm 15

1. A poem song written by David.
Creator God, who will live in full sight of You? Who will permanently reside in your high dwelling place?
2. The person who arranges his inner feelings and thoughts to be in complete alignment with You and by his actions reveal what You are really like.
3. The person who doesn’t examine others to gossip about their faults; whose actions don’t put others down; and who doesn’t disgrace friends, neighbors or associates.
4. On the other hand, God’s type of person does not consider worthy of regard those who purposely choose wrong; but honors those who revere the Creator God. The word of such a person can be trusted. If they made a mistake, they will take the responsibility and won’t change even if it means they may suffer loss because of what they promised.
5. God’s kind of person shares what is valuable with those who need help with no interest; but won’t take a bribe to push them to witness against innocent people.
The kind of person listed above won’t slip, shake, waver or fall.

Psalm 13

On permanent file, a celebration in song written by David.
1. How long, O Self-Existent One, will You ignore me? What is Your goal? What will it take to get You to pay attention to me?
2.So, how long will I keep giving myself directions and getting in trouble all the time? How long will those who hate me get the best over me?
3. O, Supreme heavenly Father, please look at me and listen to what I am saying. Enable me to see the way you see, or else I may die.
4.Otherwise those against me will say ‘I won’ and celebrate when I make mistakes or do the wrong thing.
5.But I’m hurrying back to you and find refuge in your kindness; Every part of me celebrates that You set me free by Your love.
6. Wow! I will sing to my heavenly Father because HE is growing me up.

Psalm 7

1-2. By David (loving) to sing as a strolling minstrelsy to the Self-Existent One about the problem with Cush the Benjamite. (Could this be 'code' name used to refer to some of David’s later experiences with King Saul who was of the tribe Benjamin?)
Heavenly Father, You are Supreme so I am confiding in You. Free me quickly from those who chase me or they will treat me like a hungry lion who brakes up and crunches its prey if no one rescues.
3-5. Creator God, You are my judge. If I wronged this person by my actions – if I have treated as good for nothing this one who was getting along fine with me (who, in reality, I equipped and helped to succeed - the one who is now, without a cause, trying to cramp me) let this one who hates me run after me and hurt me; yes, let this person walk all over me and grind my self-respect into the dust. (Pause, think about it.)
6-7. Rise up, O Self-Existent One, in Your full passion. Take Your position as rightful Judge because of these outbursts and violation of my boundaries by those who are trying to cramp me. Activate the verdict you already made about me so the community of my family will agree with You. For their sakes take your position as the Supreme Court Judge.
8. The Self-Existent Judge will argue my case with the family and my associates. Give a verdict; pass judgment concerning me, O Self-Existent One, according to how I am right and how I am innocent.
9. Please! Let this spoiling and making things ‘good for nothing’ done by the one who is wrong, the one who is disturbing and violating me, come to an end; but vindicate those who are right. You, God are right and you investigate both of our hearts and our minds.
10-11. My protection of the Eternal Diety who saves those who have right motives in their heart is that the Supreme God judges the righteous. The Almighty has intense passion all of the time.
12-13. If He doesn’t turn, the Supreme God will intensify His power (His Word); His intense movements are ready to desolate and destroy and those who ‘flame’ out of control will die.
14. Wow! Those who disagree with the Creator God writhe in pain as in childbirth - panting and exerting in vain, yet coming to naught and trouble. They are pregnant (filled) with toil, wearing effort, severe work and worry and yet bring forth falsehoods, untruths, shams and cheats.
15. He designs and digs a traphole; then falls and slides into the pit he made.
16. All this wearing effort, intense work and worry will come back on him, and he will be treated how he mistreated others.
17. I will throw up my open hands to You, O Self-Existent One because You have made things right. I will sing praise to honor the authority and love based character of You who are the Supreme, Self-Existent God who is above all creation.
